Uganics is a social enterprise in Uganda founded to tackle the negative effects of malaria, a major global health challenge with over 500,000 annual deaths in Africa alone. Uganics is leveraging everyday household products such as soap to make natural, effective and certified mosquito repellent products sold through a social business model to the tourism industry and the local urban market to low income, malaria vulnerable communities at the same price as regular soap, making malaria protection safe and accessible with no need for major behavioral changes.
