Powering Early-Stage Ventures for Growth in Bangladesh

In partnership with Grameenphone

Challenge

Over he past decade, the entrepreneurial community in Bangladesh has been growing at unprecedented speed. Even though the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country is still nascent, it shows great potential to become one of the region’s leading ecosystems. Thus it’s crucial to support the existing community and ensure it has access to knowledge and investment opportunities, especially when it comes to female entrepreneurship.

Solution

Together with Grameenphone, a leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh, with more than 74 million subscribers, we launched a 4.5-month onsite program - GP Accelerator - for early-stage ventures across Bangladesh. The program’s aim was to accelerate and provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools for finding their product-market fit and scaling.

The program ran with weekly workshops, four onsite bootcamps with international mentors from the Netherlands, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Portugal, and Turkey in lean methodology, product development, marketing and fundraising basics.
